Quick page ~ Graphically Speaking

This is my oldest son (isn't he handsome?!?). I can't believe how fast he is growing up and we are always talking about the future and so I wanted to look back a little and see what he "wanted to be when he grew up". This took me 15 minutes to complete! I LOVE QUICK PAGES!!!! Graphically Speaking is an AWESOME cartridge! I am going to be using it a lot to get my pages done super fast! I love the notebook paper cut! It is such a fun element to add to a page. I thought I would only use it for journaling but then I wanted to see how large this notebook page could cut and I LOVED it and decided just to add the picture, the dream big cut, and the journaling and be done! Simple page but that works for me!

I Believe in Fairies

For my mom who LOVES Fairies. She has a whole fairy room so I made this to go in her room.
I used Stone Script, TinkerBell and Friends, Home Decor, and Design Studio. I welded wings onto the F and cut out gold swirls from Home Decor and using transfer paper I placed them on the wings. I LOVE the way the gold fairy dust turned out. I thought it would be really hard to get on the board but I placed it on the wood using transfer paper and it was SOOOO EASY!

Thank you gifts

I needed to bring some thank you gifts to some very sweet friends who helped me out with a party that I had this week and so I wanted to make them delicious triple chunk brownies!!! I love Tags Bags Boxes and More because of all of the cute boxes and I knew right away that I wanted to make them the heart topped box and fill it with brownies! They turned out so cute!!! I lined the whole thing with wax paper and then put a piece of wax paper in between each brownie piece so they wouldn't stick together. I made very simple matching cards to go with them. YUMMY....

Good Luck card

This is the latest challenge for Whimisical Scraps and Bugs. We had to make a St. Pattys Day card. I had the hardest time with this!!!! I wear green on that day because I don't want to get PINCHED but that is as far as it goes! So I am going to give this to a friend who is moving this week... lame I know but for this week it is as good as it gets...
I made a shaped card from Paper Doll Dress Up. The shamrock is also from PDDU that I ran through the cuttlebug and then chalked it and put stickles on it. The back of the buckle is from Storybook and the front of the buckle is from Tags Bags Boxes and More. The font is from Stone Script and then I welded the words on design studio.

I did get to scrapbook this weekend so I will have to post some pages that I did! Thanks Sarah for coming over!

Wall hanging~Whimisical Scraps and Bugs Challenge

This was our instructions for the newest challenge for Whimsical Scraps and Bugs: BLACK & WHITE Challenge.......... only 1 other color will be permitted and it must be minimal! You can create anything you want to!!! A card.... A LO.... An Altered item.... ANYTHING!!!!! : ) You MUST use the word SPRING (letters cut from any Cricut cart).

I chose to make a wall hanging with the word spring. This was a very difficult challenge for me! When I think of spring I think of a lot of colors, especially pastel colors and so black and white was not the direction I was thinking of! I really liked doing the challenge once I got into it! It looks good hanging in my living room and my husband even likes it... who knew!

All of the cuts are from the Storybook cartridge. I cut the letters 3 times out of chipboard and then cut the letters out of the patterned paper from basic grey. The black and white paper is from Prima. I used a stamp by O'Scrap! for the Spring definition then raised it with pop dots. A little bit of Stickles in the middle of the flowers and some inking.

We were trimming back our trees today and so I thought I should photograph it in a tree in my backyard. It just looks like spring with all of the new flowers blooming in our tree! Happy Spring!
