Another Baby Card

This one is not as "busy" as the other card. I love to do baby cards and baby LOs!
The bottle is from Doodlecharms. The paper is Provo Craft slab 6. Little One is a rub-on. I used Glossy Accents for the nipple of the bottle.

Baby Card

I have a baby shower for a friend tomorrow night and so I made her this card. I love Paper Doll Dress up cartridge. It is so versitile! This little rocking horse is so cute and I really like it for this baby card! The scallops are from Accent Essentials. The word baby is from All Mixed Up.

Thanks for stopping by!

"Favorite" LO Cloud 9

I was working on this at scrapbooking night at my house on Thurs and all of the ladies here would see it before the journaling and say, "Oh, Sadie is your favorite?" (I do have 4 kids and Sadie is the youngest). I had to make sure that it was understood that this was my favorite picture of Sadie at that age! I do love that picture.

I just found the Cloud 9 paper line from Fiskars and I LOVE IT! The ones that I bought are double sided and they have the cutest ones for baby girls and boys! So I made a page for Sadie and one for Jerry! I will post it as soon as the journaling is done!

I used George and the DS to make the big circles and I used Home Accents to make the swirl at the bottom of the page. I used Heidi Swapp chipboard alphabet for the letters.

I've been tagged!

Sharon from Gramma's house of cards has tagged me! (GO take a peek at her blog. She is AMAZING!)
So this is how the whole tagging thing works: Answer the questions, then tag five or six of your blogging friends. Go to their blogs and let them know they've been tagged and ask them to visit your blog for details.
Here's mine
1. 10 years ago- My husband and I had just graduated from Brigham Young University. I got a degree in Elementary Education and my husband finished his masters in Geology. We moved from Utah to Southern California. I had a 18 month old little boy and was very excited to get on with "real life".
2. 5 things to do today- My oldest son is pet sitting and so we fed and played with the dog and guinney pig. I went to Church. Had a meeting about our big "super saturday" craft fair coming in Oct. Played American Idol game with my kids.
3. Favorite snack- PEANUT M&Ms. I am trying not to buy treats because there are not a lot of treats that I don't like!
4. If I were to become a millionaire... I would love to be able to move all of my family closer. Or maybe just move everyone to my brother in Hawaii!
5. Places I've lived... I was born in Utah. Then when I was very little we moved to Brea California (right by Disneyland, my favorite place). Then I went to school in Rexburg, Idaho for 2 years and then in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Back to Brea and now in Citrus Heights, California which is right outside of Sacramento.
6. People I am tagging. Deborah, Carrie, Sarah, and Sandy!

Teacher Card

I had to get the Happily Ever After cartridge after I saw the OWL challenge at the BITTEN BY THE BUG blog. The designers all made the cutest things with the adorable owl. I of course shamelessly scrap-lifted and made this card for the kids to give their teachers. It is such an easy cut that I made it in the morning right before the kids left for school. (I was very behind this year!!!) I used Chestnut Roan from Color Box for all of the inking around the edges. I used Pebbles Inc. pearlescent chalk and the Stampin' Up blender pens to color in the words. (Blender pens are like MAGIC!!!! I think they are a must have!) You take the blender pen and rub it in whatever medium that you would like to use. I always use chalk with them but I know you can buy special crayons from Stamin' up that they work with too. Then you color in whatever image you want and after a little while you have to get more color because it starts to lighten up and run out of color. That is what I think is the magical part because when you are finished coloring then you can just color on a scrap peice of paper until it is clear again and you are ready to put a new color on! It can be used over, and over, and over! MAGIC!

Anyway I love this OWL and I am excited to try out other things from this cartridge!

"OWL see you later" hee hee hee

Teacher Gift

Life is crazy during the last week of school. I try to be on top of things and know what I would like to get my kids teachers at the end of the year, but this year I went to Utah! I got to go and party with my 80 year old Grandma for her birthday bash and we had a big family reunion! It was really fun! So I had a hard time concentrating on teacher gifts because I was so distracted. I went to my FAVORITE place on the web, the CRICUT message board and found the Smartie idea. It was perfect for my last minute effort!

I got the cute jar at the Dollar Tree. I used George to cut a sqare that fit the top of the jar perfectly. I used Doodlecharms to make the scallop heart. I made a rub-on for the saying. The stamps are from Walmart. The ink is Tim Holtz distress ink -tea dye-. The edges are inked with my favorite Chestnut Roan from Color Box. The flower is from Prima and a skittle in the middle. I would have liked to put a little more effort into it but for a last minute project it turned out OK.

Thanks for stopping by and ENJOY SUMMER!!!
