Thank you card

I used the George cartridge for the cricut for the circles. I used Base Camp cartridge for the t. I used the cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder (which I love!) for the background. I made my own rub-on (I'll post how to do that right under this) for the circle of thank yous that I made with microsoft word.

How to make your own RUB-ONS!
This was something that I learned on the cricut message board and I have used it a ton! It is so easy. YOU WILL LOVE IT!

You need laser jet transparency sheet, inkjet printer, and popcicle stick

1. Choose the font, and color, size or image from whatever program you are using such as microsoft word
2. Under paper type set printer paper to transparency ( I set it to Other Transparency)
3. Under features set printer to mirror image (so that it prints backwards)
4. Feed transparency into printer
5. Print
wait 2-5 min, do not touch. If you do it too soon it will smear.
Place on paper, and rub with stick
Use the transparency over and over, because any ink left on it can be wiped off with a damp paper towel or baby wipe

I have had my laser jet transparency for 1 year and have used it over and over! I would be happy to answer any questions!

Hi,

I want to ask what the best place is to buy the laser jet transparency sheet? I am not sure exactly what to look for or where.
Thanks,
Pamela

I went to Staples. I went to the instore copy center and asked if I could buy just 1 lazer jet transparency and he just gave me one. My friend went and they charged her $1.00. Still NOT TOO BAD! I have had mine for a year and it is still going strong!

Hope that helps!

I just read your directions on making your own rub-ons. When I think that I gave all my transparencies away when I retired, I could cry. Hopefully one of my friends will come through.

Thanks for the information.
